Mayzsoul is a nonprofit dance company with a mission to create and grow a community of artists and dancers that will continue artistic exploration and education while producing quality performances throughout the DC metropolitan area, the country, and ultimately abroad. It is our goal to create a space where artists can come see a familiar face, meet new people, openly exchange new ideas, and revisit old ones. A place where artists can work harder than they thought they could, expose themselves to new performance opportunities, and give audiences one brilliant performance after another.

Gandhi said, “Be the change you see to make in the world!” We have lovingly, passionately and joyfully decided to take on Gandhi’s challenge. We have a firm belief that today’s society is lacking a true sense of community, and we intend to create one. We are interested in producing and seeing more thought-provoking, beautiful artworks come onto the scene. Mayzsoul is the creation of a community coming together to express the art within each member’s soul and the spirit of the company as a whole.
